Dear Friends,
It’s hard to believe another year has flown by! During the 22-23 season, I will celebrate my 10th anniversary as Executive Director for River Arts Inc. I’m incredibly grateful for all of the people who have helped me be successful in this position. Their support of the organization has allowed us to be creative with programming, take fulfilling and fruitful risks, and annually provide quality arts programming to thousands of people when they needed it the most.
In the last 10 years, River Arts Inc. has grown to add a second full time employee (our Gallery and Studio Manager Kristina), added our studio space and deck, became owners of our downtown building, helped bring public art to the Great Sauk State Trail, tripled the number of events we host, and so much more! We also anxiously await the building of Leola Hall, a much-needed, multipurpose space that will be adjacent to the Sauk Prairie River Arts Center. We can’t wait to share more about that project when we break ground!
Last year, we developed a new vision for the organization: to forge Sauk Prairie’s artistic identity and cultivate a community that supports artists and patrons of the arts. It is an honor to serve my hometown community in this effort, and I look forward to what the next decade will bring!
