As patrons and supporters of River Arts Inc., you communicate often with Executive Director, Lindsey Giese, and Gallery and Studio Manager, Kristina Coopman, but you rarely get to see the behind the scenes look at what makes River Arts Inc. successful…our board of directors! We are taking the time now to introduce you to some of those people who ensure River Arts Inc.’s sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and who keep us fulfilling our mission to “inspire, enrich, and educate the community through the arts” day after day.
Our next interview is with Alan Boehmer
His interview will be aired Monday, April 20th at 8pm
About Alan:
Alan, a native of Wisconsin, studied fine arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before moving to New York City to study at the New York School of Interior Design. After completing his formal studies, he worked for Clarence House, the foremost stylesetter in the decorative fabric industry, and in 1976 he co-founded Madderlake Flowers in Manhattan. In 1989, Alan and his wife returned to Wisconsin (Sauk Prairie) where he founded Alan Boehmer Design, incorporating his passion for floral and fabric design into his business. Alan has been on the River Arts Inc. board off and on since 2006.
