Meet Your Hosts!

Travis and Tywana 2

Tywana German:

Hailing from Sweet Home Alabama, Tywana German guarantees the audience a fun and memorable evening with her wit and humor.  Tywana became a Wisconsinite in 2009 and has spent the last 10 years as Executive Director of the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce.  She makes her home in Prairie du Sac with her husband Les, two children (Elizabeth and Ben) and an English Bulldog named Sadie.  Tywana has over 25 years in community planning and human service, working in communities in Florida, Virginia and Wisconsin.  Over the last two decades, Tywana has enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars, and is ready to give attendees an excellent Sauk Prairie show as she returns for her 2nd year of hosting.   While she admits she has no dance experience, she feels she knows how to work the audience, get them engaged and calm the nerves of our local dancers.

Her advice for tonight’s celebrities – “First Impressions Are Everything!  That first moment on stage has to captivate the crowd with excellent costuming, eye contact and just having FUN! Own your dance, the music and make every step count!”

Travis Hilliard:

Travis is a 93′ UWSP graduate and spent 24 years working as a Wisconsin Deputy Conservation Warden. In 1994, he was hired by the Sauk Prairie Police Department and has been working in Sauk Prairie for 25 years. He also spent 10 years on the Sauk County SWAT team. Travis is a department firearms and defense and arrest tactics instructor. He has been married to his wife Missy for 21 years and they have two children, Ben and Ellie.

However, one of Travis’s greatest accomplishments in his 25 years in Sauk Prairie was competing for the Mirror Ball Trophy in Sauk Prairie’s first Dancing with the Stars in 2017.  Although Travis didn’t win, he did leave a lasting impression.
