As patrons and supporters of River Arts Inc., you communicate often with Executive Director, Lindsey Giese, and Gallery and Studio Manager, Kristina Coopman, but you rarely get to see the behind the scenes look at what makes River Arts Inc. successful…our board of directors! We are taking the time now to introduce you to some of those people who ensure River Arts Inc.’s sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and who keep us fulfilling our mission to “inspire, enrich, and educate the community through the arts” day after day.
Our first interview is with current River Arts Inc. President, Jared Walker Smith
His interview will be aired Monday, April 6th at 8pm
About Jared:
Jared Walker Smith is an attorney at Boardman & Clark LLP, where his practice focuses on general municipal, water utility, and real estate law. He is a graduate of St. Olaf College and the University of Wisconsin Law School. Jared has served on Board of River Arts Inc. as a director since 2015, and as President since 2018. Jared and his wife have a creative preschooler that they look forward to introducing to RAI classes in the near future–and a second little one on the way. Inspired in part by RAI events, Jared recently started learning the tin whistle and low whistle–thankfully for everyone but his family, he will not be performing outside the house anytime soon.
