Kris Pickar ’96
Kris Pickar graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Dance and Business in 2000. That same year, Kris returned and founded KP School of Dance in Sauk Prairie, WI. She has been teaching dancers of all ages and developing dance programs for over 22 years.
Kris is passionate about youth education and is committed to teaching excellence within a noncompetitive, supportive, team-based environment. She is proud to provide her students with a diverse group of professional-level faculty. From technical movement to the simple joy of self-expression, Kris’ students learn to appreciate all aspects of dance in a welcoming atmosphere.
She would like to thank this community for its endless support of the arts and dance education, and the River Arts Center for providing a beautiful space to develop professional performances for all ages. Kris views youth and dance education as her life’s work, and is grateful for this community opening its doors to artistic learning and outreach.
