Pop-Up Pottery Party!

Create a unique ceramic object in this structured pottery class. Instructions, clay, and all materials provided. All you need is a creative spirit! No prior experience necessary; total beginners welcome.

In this class, students will be using hand building techniques to assemble our pottery project. The more complex, wheel thrown components will be made in advance by the instructor. Guests will be given simple instructions on how to assemble the components. If you get stuck the instructor is there to help guide the experience into a finished product. Modifying the design is encouraged to make it your own!

Suggested dress code: If you are mindful of your work space, hand building isn’t messy. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes that are ok to get dirty. If you choose to use underglazes, some of the colored underglazes can stain clothing. Smocks will be provided.

Finished pieces will be fired at instructor’s facility and available for pick-up at River Arts, Inc. Shipping is also available.

About Jennifer:

I was first introduced to clay in 2001 through a college elective class. It was love at first touch. I changed my major to Art and graduated in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I moved to Mazomanie WI and joined the Madison Potter’s Guild in 2007. I sell my work at art fairs in Wisconsin and Illinois. I am excited to share my love of pottery with others!
