A brand new public art mural overlooks the Great Sauk State Trail and the Wisconsin River. “Starry Prairie” is a mural designed and painted by Mary Dickey and Rhonda Nass with installation by Bernie Poff of Polliwog Studio. It highlights many native plants and birds such as the red-winged blackbird, sandhill crane, black-eyed susan, rattlesnake master, goldenrod and more. To see the mural in person, visit River Arts on Water Gallery at 590 Water Street, Prairie du Sac, between 10am-5pm. Bring over a coffee or lunch and sit on the spacious deck while you enjoy views of the river and the mural!

This mural was made possible in part by a grant from the Sauk County UW Extension, Arts, & Culture Committee and Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
