Judy Mudd of Louisville, KY has had an interest in art since she was four years old, sketching at the kitchen table with her mother, artist Juanita Watkins Moore. Judy’s professional art journey did not begin until many years later after commitments to family, nursing and business careers slowed down. She began a self-directed art education traveling to study with master artists whom she felt could help her develop certain aspects of her art. Strong influences include Joseph Zbukvic, Charles Reid, Dean Mitchell and Mary Whyte. Judy is a full-time artist and has been a watercolor instructor for over 10 years. She teaches weekly classes, frequent workshops and offers videos-on-demand for those learning from home. A daily painter, she can be found in her home studio or in plein air. She often strikes out on her own to travel and explore new subjects for paintings.
