Painted Barn Quilts with Maday Delgado
Saturday, April 6, 2019 OR Sunday, April 7, 2019 | 11am-2pm
Early Bird Registration: $80 before March 23, $90 after March 23
Paint your very own Barn Quilt! Fiber artist, avid gardener, and painter Maday Delgado will help you design your custom quilt, choosing from a set variety of provided quilt patterns. Then she’ll prep the wood and stencil on the design for you, so that during the workshop all you’ll have to do is paint! All materials are included. Barn quilts are 24″ x 24″ finished and outdoor-ready by the end of the night. A wire hanging system is included with the finished piece. Whether or not you have an actual barn to hang this on, this piece will be a beautiful addition to any home!
You can choose to attend either Saturday or Sunday. Register early! This one-day class is being offered in two sessions because it has sold out two years in a row!

“I’m a fiber enthusiast, avid urban gardener and student living in the midwest, with a passion for color and making. I draw inspiration from nature’s colors to fuel my textile pieces with energy and texture.
In 2012 I began to sell made to order custom pieces at arts & craft shows and exhibits. My renewed focus today is on teaching and developing urban gardens whenever possible; I’m passionate about the environment and self sufficiency.
I enjoy creating contemporary and traditional textile compositions of varying sizes, using new and repurposed fabrics.
My goal is to teach, create and promote sustainable practices in our daily lives, that bring both enjoyment and nourishment. Sewing is one those that allow us to become independent and confident.”
