Find Your Inner Artist’s Voice in Mixed Media with Helen Klebesadel
Are you interested in being more intentional about your creativity? Do you want to use your creative process to grow and expand your vision for your art and your life? Are you interested in discovering new motivations and your own unique subject matter for your artwork? In this arts-based mixed-media workshop you will explore process-based art strategies for expanding personally important themes in your artwork and have lots of fun doing it.
Join artist and creativity coach Helen Klebesadel for this 2-day mixed-media creativity workshop for creatives at all levels (non-artists thinking about the place of creativity in their lives are welcome too). Plan to expand your creative process and subject matter through a series of individualized exercises designed to help you create a stronger vision for your creative life and your art. Build on what you already know while exploring creative ways to go deeper in developing your artworks and an artistic voice that is authentically your own.
Suggested Materials for Workshop
-sketch pad or several sheets of loose drawing paper at least 10” x 14”
-your favorite drawing/painting materials, and some you are not as comfortable (a selection that may include but is not limited to markers, pencils, crayons, pastels, colored pencils or oil pastels.
-two magazines that will be destroyed
-copies of meaningful photographs, poems, letters, images, any 2-d or small 3-d materials that are significant for what they represent to you that you are willing to use in art pieces. Please Xerox copies of things you would like to use but don’t want to destroy. You can Xerox small 3-d objects too.
-watercolors, gouache, or acrylic paints and brushes
-beads, sequence, small objects, broken jewelry, twigs, and other small cool things
-fabrics, embroidery threads, ribbons and needles
-zippers, hooks, buttons, bangles, small hinges, anything small and interesting
-collage materials may that include random photographs, or magazine images, fancy papers, advertising flyers and cool ephemera
