Students will receive an Arches watercolor journal.
Students are encouraged to bring any watercolor supplies they may have at home.
Level: Beginner/No prior experience necessary
Age: 12+
In this 4 hour long workshop, you will learn all the steps to planning, sketching, prepping and painting a floral scene using watercolors. Bring your own reference photo of a flower to class to create your own unique painting, or, use one of the reference photos I have available. We will also learn the basics of painting a Bokeh effect using watercolors (the circular light spots created in photography).
Artist Bio: A former Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) elementary school teacher, Emily started painting mid-pandemic as a way to de-stress after a long day in the classroom. Since then, she has turned her love for watercolors into a career. Emily finds inspiration from her love for the outdoors. In addition to botanical watercolors, she also enjoys painting pet portraits. As a current resident of Madison, Wisconsin, she teaches watercolor classes and workshops throughout Dane County.
